She has been involved in the counseling field since 1989 where she has worked as an addictions specialist for the State of Virginia, a school counselor for the Fairfax County Public School system as an elementary, middle and high school counselor and as a private clinician. In addition, Debra counseled at two private institutions in Memphis and Detroit. Debra’s graduate internship was completed at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD, where she served as a clinical addictions counselor for the psychiatric department.
Debra offers a unique approach to her practice by merging client-focused and solution-oriented techniques. She provides a nurturing, supportive and thought provoking atmosphere to assist clients in enhancing their relationship skills. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Debra grew up in the Alexandria, Virginia area where she now resides with her husband Gregg and four children.
